Young Florist Learns Business through Networking

So business networking has helped my organisation achieve my goals. Well, initially was to get more referrals, gain more business within my business. But it’s definitely done so much more than that. It’s given me kind of the groundwork of having the knowledge, keep me accountable to go to meetings every week with a bunch of awesome people that each week is so enthusiastic. And then see I feel like if you’re surrounded by a lot of winners and successful people, that’s just kind of gonna reflect on your own business.

Within the organisation and within the networking group that I’m a part of, there’s been so many mentors within the group that’s helped me personally to kind of achieve my goals within the business. So how to run it, tips on marketing, how to engage in public speaking – things that I feel like you can’t buy those things, and gaining the trust and having a whole list of contacts that I can then refer to clients that, I’m really close with and trust that I’m passing on business with great people.

So a great tip with networking is you wanna go in there as a giver, not a taker, ‘cos I kind of think of it as being – you’re sending out good and wanting good on other people. So that’s gonna reflect on yourself and within your business.
